LUMINA
For my final year of university we were tasked to identify a problem space in the world and create a suitable product or design that would hypothetically solve that problem. My chosen problem statement was:
The crackdown on password sharing has resulted in the rapid increase of film piracy among the student communities.
I thought this was both an interesting subject but also an important one in recent years. My chosen solution was design a state of the art streaming service, exclusively designed for the student communities. We had the opportunity to partner our project with an appropriate brand in which I chose UNiDAYS. The service offers student discounted plans as low as £4.99 a month, making media consumption as affordable as it’s ever been.
In order to avoid multiple service subscriptions, Lumina carefully selects titles that have been spread across multiple big entertainment platforms therefore putting them all in to one place. This allows Lumina to be the only subscription that is ever needed. Hypothetically, Lumina accounts are protected via student email ensuring only students can access the site.
The deliverables for this project were finalised branding material for Lumina such as logos, billboards, social media templates and other visualisations. This project was also mainly a UX/UI project in which I designed a basic mock-up in Adobe XD. I had a lot of fun with this project so I hope you enjoy flicking through!
